IC 2005- A legacy?
Venue: Agra,India
Date: 23rd August to 4th September 2005
My expectation: 1. To grow my network of professional and personal friends. 2. To be able to gain ideas/strategies to grow AIESEC in Malaysia- in regards of building our capacity, in exchange and also people development. 3 To inspire my future direction.
So is IC 2005 going to be a legacy? You will never know till you've been there! But from what i have heard... it surely will be. With the largest number of participants ever and the fact that it is IC 2005.... the year we have so oftened talked about! What I'm excited about- to meet these people who share the same passion and views as me, people who feel the way i do for the organisations and about ourselves, but most of all to be together with these amazing people to create a vision, a direction and a future for my organisation- ladies and gentlemen, AIESEC 2010 is on its way of being developed. And the people behind this extraordinary history making event- US!!!!
IC 2005- You've aint seen anything till you've seen IC!!! When i decided to do a double term in AIESEC Malaysia ( MC) last November, part of the inspiration and motivation was to attend this most talked about and prestigious anual event- IC.
When i got to know that IC was going to be held in India this year- the country i had my traineeship early last year, I was kinda excited as i never had a chance to visit this part of India during my time there. However the highlight was still attending this conference with over 90 other countries. It was going to be my first international conference!!! Yeap, first ever international conference- though being in my 5th year of AIESEC. But like they say, better late than never, right? Excitement grew more and more as the conference was approaching- making Malaysian costumes ( Huilin and I got matching ones), buying gifts and food and display items for Global Village, AIESEC readings and preparations for the sessions, mental and physical preparation ( hehe... tried to do some dieting- as was going to meet some old flings...ermm *blush* i mean friends from Expro in Bangladesh.)
So, will IC 2005 be a legacyand will it be the one conference that will be the highlight of my career? So many questions...few more hours... and I'll be in India!
